    Summary by Bob Ashby:
This game featured 9 ties and 10 lead changes but the Firebirds always held the lead at the end of each quarter by slim margins of plus 1,1,1 and 5. The Vikings were within 2 points with as little as 3 minutes to go.  Julian Mackey had a double-double featuring game highs of 27 points and 10 rebounds. Other double figure scoring contributors for West were Carter Combs (19), Oscean Anuforo (15), and Brady Weber (11). Freshman Nathan Dudukovich was subbed into the game for the first time to replace an injured Mackey at the foul line. With the team up by just 5 points and with only 44 seconds remaing Dudukovich made both freebies to virtually ice the game for the Firebirds.
