Lakota West Firebirds

Introducing Ali Hile: Meet the Head Girls Volleyball coach on March 7th! #WestPride

We are very pleased to announce that Ali Hile has accepted our offer to serve as the Varsity Head Volleyball Coach for the Lakota West Firebirds for the 2024 Season.

Coach Hile brings a great deal of playing and coaching experience to help build our Program and take it to the next level. As a player, most of her time was spent in the front row, where she played for Lakota West under Hall of Fame Coach Tracey Kornau. Her positive leadership put her in a position to serve as Team Captain in her senior year. Coach Hile went on to play college volleyball at the University of Findlay, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science and has a Master’s of Occupational Therapy.

Upon graduation, her professional career began as an Occupational Therapist (OT) for Tri-Health, and then she started her coaching career in 2013. In 2017, Lakota hired her to serve students in Lakota as an OT; within a few years, he leadership helped move her ahead, and she now serves as the OT Department Head. Coach Hile has served as the JV Head Coach for the Firebirds for the past three seasons.

I am really excited about the leadership, knowledge, and passion that Coach Hile will bring to our Volleyball Program. She has learned from the best and is ready to build our Program to success.

We will have a Meet the Coach Night on Thursday, March 7, at 6:00 p.m. in the Lakota West Cafeteria. This will be her first opportunity to share off-season schedules and camp information. All Lakota West, Plains, and Ridge Volleyball Families are welcome to attend.
