Day 1 kicked off with a bang! The girls’ 4x800m relay team of Kaitlin Kaszubski, Prashi Vatsal, Ava Shepard, and Amane Ohhashi set a season-best time, finishing a strong 11th place. The boys’ 4x200m relay team (Kenyon Norman, Sam Afari, Kolyn Ogletree, and Joel Nimoh) also ran a personal best, narrowly missing the podium.
The excitement continued with the boys’ 4x100m relay team shattering the school record with a time of 41.58, securing their spot in the finals. To wrap up Day 1, the girls’ 4x400m relay team (Saniya Taylor, Ayana Johnson, Alyese Caldwell-Downing, and Ava Claggett) put on a gutsy performance, finishing just off the podium.
Day 2 was truly historic for the Firebirds. Jonah Dangel cemented his legacy as a Lakota West legend with a 7th-place finish in the pole vault.
