Bryce Curry stepped up in a big way to help Lakota West knock off crosstown rival Lakota East, 49–30. Curry led the Firebirds with a game high 16 points on an efficient 7-of-13 shooting night, logging 30 strong minutes on both ends of the floor. He added two steals and two blocks, bringing energy and toughness in a rivalry win that set the tone from start to finish.
Rachel Wasson
Junior, Wrestling
The North College Hill Invitational Tournament Champion Rachel Wasson delivered a moment to remember, proudly holding the team trophy after an unforgettable run. In just her second year on the mat, Wasson claimed the first tournament title of her career, avenging an earlier loss for the second straight week. She capped the day by defeating a returning state qualifier from Monroe in the finals, improving her record to 21–14 on the season.
