Lakota West Wrestlers Battle at Districts, Fiasco Heads to State

The Lakota West High School boys wrestling team competed this past weekend at the OHSAA District Wrestling Tournament hosted at Kettering Fairmont High School, battling against some of the top competition in Southwest Ohio.

Leading the way for the Firebirds was Cameron Fiasco, who placed 3rd in the 190-lb weight class to qualify for the OHSAA State Wrestling Tournament next weekend. Teammate Wes Allen also had a strong showing, finishing 5th and earning a State Alternate position, ready to step in if the opportunity arises.

Both wrestlers reached an incredible milestone during the tournament, each securing their 100th career victories, a testament to their dedication, perseverance, and years of hard work on the mat.

The Firebirds also received strong efforts from Shax Davronov, Jake Coughlin, Kaiden Mullins, Jaskaran Ghuman, Cole Lewis, and Aurelius Vega, who battled through a tough district field and proudly represented Lakota West. While their seasons concluded this weekend, their determination and commitment throughout the year played a major role in the team’s success.

Please join Firebird Nation in congratulating the entire team and wishing Cameron Fiasco the best of luck as he represents Lakota West at the State Tournament next weekend. #WestPride
