    Voted by a state media panel for the Associated Press. Six to ten players are selected to the first team, five or six to the second team, and five or six to the third team. Fifteen (approx.) more receive special mention and another 40 (approx.) receive honorable mention. There are between 190 and 200 division 1 teams in Ohio.
    *After state players of the year (POY) are selected in each of the four divisions one player is judged the best of the best irrespective of division and awarded the title Miss Ohio Basketball.

    * Twenty to Twenty-Four senior players chosen by a panel of experts to participate in the McDonalds National All-Star Game. This team has been chosen annually since 2002, and is the most widely publisized. The resulting All-Star game was televised.
    ** Twenty senior players chosen for the first team and twenty for the second team are selected by a committee of the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association. This All American team has been chosen annually since 1992. Those selected to the first team played in a national all star game.
